Nursery Before & After

nursery_before

When we bought our house, the office was located in the small bedroom upstairs. Since this room is directly across the hall from ours, we knew it would be the perfect baby room. We moved the built in desk downstairs and painted the room a neutral beige. Since it wasn’t immediately being used as a nursery, we moved in Dave’s old twin bed, and an IKEA dresser we had laying around and used it as a backup guest room. Now that baby is on the way though, it’s time for this room to get a much needed update.

After countless hours in Pinterest, and some back and forth with Dave over what color the furniture should be, we picked out some pieces we liked and took advantage of Target’s holiday deals. We liked the idea of a neutral room and a cloud/airplane theme—we are already planning for Baby Rez to be a pilot just like his dad.

Since Baby Rez is due in June, we were worried about how hot the room would be, so we installed an overhead fan.

It’s been fun redecorating this room, but I can’t wait for Baby Rez to come so we can start using it!
